Every Number Represents a Story.

IMPACT

Fighting Back measures impact in more than numbers. It is found in greater strength, renewed confidence, meaningful independence, new friendships and the determination to keep moving forward.

Together, our participants, caregivers, trainers, volunteers, donors and community partners make that progress possible.

OUR IMPACT IN 2025

More Than Training. More Than a Scholarship.

WHAT IMPACT LOOKS LIKE

Progress Is Personal.

No two Fighting Back journeys look the same. For one participant, progress may mean walking again. For another, it may mean returning to work, improving balance, gaining confidence or simply discovering what is possible.

The stories below show the people behind the numbers.

Amy Gey

After a life-changing injury, Amy found strength, support and a new sense of possibility.

Andrew McNeil

Andrew’s journey shows what’s possible with determination, support and the right community.

Cindy Luu

Cindy continues to push her limits and inspire others with her resilience and positive outlook.

Cole Keith

Cole’s story is a powerful reminder that progress, confidence and independence can grow at any stage of life.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

The Impact Goes Far Beyond Training.

THE RIPPLE EFFECT

When Participants Begin Giving Back.

Impact does not stop with the support someone receives. Through Fighting Forward, Giving Back, Annual Achievement Night honorees can turn their own experiences into service, advocacy, volunteerism, appreciation and support for others.

ANNUAL ACHIEVEMENT NIGHT

Celebrating the Progress Behind the Impact.

Impact is more than reaching a goal. It is the courage to keep going, the progress made along the way and the people who help make it possible.

Each year, Fighting Back’s Annual Achievement Night recognizes participants who embody Courage, Desire and Perseverance, along with the caregivers and community members who support their journeys.

FIGHTING BACK SOCIETY

Honoring Those Who Make Our Mission Possible.

Established in 2025, the Fighting Back Society recognizes individuals whose extraordinary vision, leadership and support have helped Fighting Back grow and serve its community.

Ed Gold, the Society’s first inaugural recipient, was honored for the leadership and commitment he has provided from the organization’s early years and for the important role he has played in Fighting Back’s growth.

CAREGIVERS

Progress Is Never a Solo Journey.

Caregivers are an essential part of the Fighting Back community. Their encouragement, advocacy, patience and commitment help make progress possible every day.

Shawn Kelly’s story shows the impact of that support beyond the participant — and why caregivers are such an important part of the Fighting Back community

IMPACT IN ACTION

Our Impact Keeps Growing.

New partnerships, grants, program growth, community recognition and major milestones help Fighting Back reach more people, expand opportunities and strengthen our Community of Support.

Every scholarship, every training session, every milestone and every story is made possible by a Community of Support. Whether you give, volunteer, attend an event or apply for a scholarship, there is a place for you in what comes next.
