On August 4, Fighting Back was proud to be part of the 2026 John Savelloni Memorial All-Abilities Golf Clinic, a day centered on inclusion, recreation and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate.
We were honored to partner with the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania’s ReDiscover U program, PGA HOPE and Penn Oaks Golf Club to help make the event possible.
Throughout the day, participants of all abilities had the opportunity to learn, challenge themselves and experience the game of golf in a welcoming and supportive environment. For some, it was a first introduction to the sport. For others, it was an opportunity to return to recreation while adapting after a brain injury or other life-changing condition.
More than anything, the clinic created space for people to build confidence, connect with others and focus on what they can do.
We are deeply grateful to the PGA professionals, volunteers, caregivers, partners and supporters whose time and encouragement made the day so meaningful. We are especially thankful to Joanne Finegan for two decades of dedication to this special event.
The John Savelloni Memorial All-Abilities Golf Clinic continues to be a powerful reminder that recreation and community should be accessible to everyone.
We are proud to help create opportunities where barriers are reduced, abilities are celebrated and people can keep discovering new possibilities.
