Fighting Back is deeply grateful to the Foxwynd Foundation for awarding a $50,000 grant in support of our Keeping Momentum initiative.
The grant supports one-to-one adaptive fitness training for individuals rebuilding their lives after life-changing injuries, illnesses and disabilities. It will help sustain scholarships for more than 100 participants, including people who do not have insurance coverage or the financial resources to pay for post-rehabilitative fitness on their own. All grant funds are being directed to program services. Foxwynd Press Release
For the people we serve, continuing to move forward after formal rehabilitation ends can be one of the most challenging parts of recovery. Support from partners like Foxwynd helps ensure that participants have a place to keep building strength, mobility, confidence and independence while remaining connected to a Community of Support.
The partnership became even more meaningful when representatives from the Foxwynd Foundation visited our Malvern facility to see Fighting Back in action. During the visit, they toured the gym, met participants and caregivers, connected with members of our leadership and Board, and learned more about the long-term impact of individualized adaptive fitness. What makes Fighting Back special extends far beyond exercise. Participants come through our doors after devastating accidents, strokes, serious illnesses and other circumstances that have changed their lives. Here, they find individualized training, but they also find encouragement, acceptance, friendship and a place where they belong.
As Founder and President Scott Dillman shared, Foxwynd’s support helps Fighting Back stand beside people after traditional systems end and the ongoing work of rebuilding a life begins. Their investment provides greater stability and opportunity for the individuals and families who depend on continued support. Foxwynd Press Release
We are incredibly thankful to the Foxwynd Foundation for believing in our mission and in the potential of the people we serve. Their partnership is helping our participants do exactly what the initiative’s name promises: keep their momentum going.
