On August 26, 2026, the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry’s Women Influencing Business Network brought together connection, generosity and community service through its special Networking for a Cause event benefiting Fighting Back.
Nearly 50 women gathered not only to build relationships with one another, but also to assemble caregiver appreciation bags for the incredible people who support loved ones living with life-changing injuries, illnesses and disabilities.
At Fighting Back, we see every day how much caregivers give of themselves. They are advocates, encouragers, problem-solvers and sources of strength through appointments, setbacks, milestones and everyday challenges. Their work can often happen quietly and without recognition, which made this evening especially meaningful.
Fighting Back Founder and President Scott Dillman and Ambassador Natanya Sortland joined the event to share more about our mission, the people we serve and the important role caregivers play within our Community of Support.
The evening was made possible with the support of Community Partner Sponsor HTA Insurance Services, along with generous contributions from ANEU Kitchens, Olive & Meadow, Beem Light Sauna Malvern, The Desmond Hotel Malvern, Wawa, Phamily Orthodontics, Little Miss Moffitt’s Creations, and many individuals and organizations who contributed through the caregiver wish list and monetary donations.
Gabby Riva, Chair of CCCBI’s Women Influencing Business Network, described the event as an opportunity to connect while giving back to a cause that truly matters. That spirit could be felt throughout the evening as members worked together to create something personal for caregivers in our community.
For Fighting Back, the impact continued well beyond the event itself. Each bag represented a simple but important message to a caregiver: we see you, we appreciate you and your well-being matters, too.
We are incredibly grateful to CCCBI’s Women Influencing Business Network, HTA Insurance Services, every contributing business and donor, and everyone who gave their time to make this event possible.
This is what a Community of Support looks like — people coming together to care for the people who spend so much of their lives caring for others.
