Offering Adapted Fitness Training, Specialized Fitness Classes and a “Community of Support” to Individuals “Fighting Back” from Life-Changing Injuries, Illnesses, and Disabilities.

Currently serving more than 200 individuals.

1:1 ADAPTED FITNESS TRAINING

Fighting Back Gym | 400 E. King Street | Malvern, PA 19355

One-to-one adapted fitness training for individuals aged 14 and up who are “fighting back” after life-changing injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Services are provided by specially trained personal fitness trainers in a positive and supportive gym. Virtual training is offered as well, when appropriate.

  • Scholarships available for those who qualify, including a Special Veterans Scholarships.

ROCK STEADY BOXING

A non-contact, boxing-based fitness group class designed for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.

  • 8-10 people per class

  • Offered 2 days per week

COREABILITY

Adapted group fitness classes for individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities offered in a safe, social, and motivational environment. Focus on participants aged 13-21+

  • 6-8 people per class

  • Offered 2 days per week

POWER OF PLAY

Adapted fitness classes designed to assist young athletes with cognitive and/or physical differences, including Autism. The aim is to further develop life and social skills while becoming healthier through exercise, movement and sport therapy.

  • 4-6 people per class

  • Offered 2 days per week

ONLINE FITNESS

STRIVE

Strive is a weekly 30-minute online fitness accountability group created especially for people living with brain injury. Together, participants set SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound), track progress using a Fitbit, and support one another in building healthier routines.

How does it work?

  • Meet online once a week for 30 minutes for 3 months, then monthly

  • Set and review personal fitness or wellness goals

  • Track activity with a Fitbit or fitness tracker

  • Share progress and encouragement with peers

  • Celebrate successes and stay motivated!
